Job Description:

  • Long-Term Permanent Nanny in TW12

    Children: Boy aged 6 and girl aged 3

    Start Date: October / November 2026

    Term-Time Hours: Approximately 28 hours per week (Mon-Thurs)

    School Holiday Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week (Mon-Thurs)

    Salary: £38-40,000 gross per annum, depending on experience

    Driver: Essential – confident driver with a clean driving licence. (Car provided)

    Term-Time

    Monday:11:30am–6:00pm

    Tuesday:11:30am–5:00pm

    Wednesday:11:30am–8:00/9:00pm

    Thursday: 11:30am–6:00pm

    School Holidays

    During the school holidays, more full-day childcare required.

    Monday: 8.30am – 5:30pm

    Tuesday: 9am – 4pm (flexible start & end time)

    Wednesday:8am-8:00/9:00pm

    Thursday: 8am–6:00pm

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny looking for a long-term position where they can become a trusted and valued part of the family. The family are navigating the passing of their beloved husband and father a year ago. They are looking for a reliable, calm and emotionally mature nanny to care for their delightful children – a 6 year old son and 3-year old daughter.

    Childcare Duties 

    Providing a calm, predictable and nurturing environment for the children;

    Supporting both children’s social, emotional and developmental needs;

    Children’s meal planning, online food shop and instore top-ups (inc. baker & butcher)

    Preparing healthy home-made meals and snacks for the children;

    Keeping the children’s bedrooms, belongings and school bags organised;

    Managing the children’s laundry;

    Bath / bedtime routine on a Wednesday;

    Running errands related to the children;

    General organisation related to the children & tidying communal areas.

    Term-Time

    School pick-ups (a 20-minute drive)

    Supporting homework and school routines;

    Caring for the children after school;

    Driving / walking the children to any appointments (or clubs, although clubs are generally all at school);

    Preparing school uniforms and school bags.

    NB: The Nanny will have dedicated time before collecting the children from school and should be happy to use this time pro-actively.

    School Holidays

    Planning and undertaking varied days out;

    Planning and undertaking age-appropriate varied activities at home including encouraging independent play / reading

    Driving the children to playdates, camps, appointments, activities.

    Experienced: Proven nanny experience, ideally with knowledge/experience of supporting children’s bereavement

    Reliable & Organised: Pro-active, reliable and punctual, able to maintain children’s routines and provide a calm environment.

    Emotionally Intelligent: Kind, calm, warm, thoughtful and patient.

    Nurturing: Enjoys contributing to the social, emotional and developmental needs of the children. Knows how to hold the boundaries while acknowledging the children’s feelings.

    Respectful: Sensitive and discreet regarding our family’s grief.
