Our story

Tinies was founded in 1975 as a specialist nanny agency, built around one clear purpose: helping families find safe, reliable and high-quality childcare. This is still at the core of everything we do today.

Since then, Tinies has grown into a leading pan-UK childcare recruitment network, supporting families, candidates, nurseries, early years settings, employers and event organisers. We also support hotels, sports organisations, the travel & leisure sector, and corporate partners with back-up-care provision.

In late 2024, Tinies entered a new phase of private ownership under CEO Claire Adams, one of the brand’s longest-standing leaders. Claire’s career spans more than 30 years in childcare, from practitioner to franchisee, business owner and now to group CEO and owner.

Today, Tinies combines the credibility of a long-established national brand with the energy, ambition and focus of a business building for the future.

We fully support the growing national call for greater regulation within the industry and a nationwide database of registered child carers.
