We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nanny and Home Support professional to join a busy family in BS16 Bristol. The family have 2 boys aged 4 and 8 and also have a baby due October 2026. This role involves providing attentive childcare, assisting with household management, and ensuring a nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and skilled in creating a safe, engaging, and organised home setting. This permanent and sole charge position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a family’s daily life while fostering the development and well-being of children.
Duties
Provide attentive childcare, including supervising activities, preparing meals, and assisting with homework.
Manage household tasks such as light cleaning, organising children’s belongings, and running errands as needed.
Drive children to school, extracurricular activities, appointments, and outings safely and punctually.
Create a stimulating environment that encourages learning, creativity, and social interaction.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, needs, and daily updates.
Support the overall organisation of the household to ensure a smooth daily routine.
Skills
Proven experience in nannying or childcare roles with these age groups with references demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
Strong knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
Valid driving license with a clean driving record and own car for safe transportation of children.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
Compassionate attitude combined with patience and adaptability in dynamic situations.
Effective communication skills suitable for interacting with children, parents, and external service providers.
Candidate must have paediatric first aid training and a clean DBS.
Hours and Salary
Monday – Friday 730-5 (can consider a 4 day working week)
£16-18 gross per hour
