Tinies Northants require Supply Teaching Assistants to join their expanding team to cover shifts in primary schools across Northants and Bedford and the surrounding areas. We can work to your availability and travel radius.
Duties for this Supply Teaching Assistant role include:
• To work alongside the teaching staff to support pupils, keep them engaged and provide a positive and safe learning environment.
• Supporting the permanent staff with lesson delivery, by helping to prepare learning activities.
• Adapting to a variety of different school settings.
• Supporting pupils on a one to one basis and small groups.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs.
To apply for this Supply Teaching Assistant role candidates must have:
• Candidates must be adaptable and reliable.
• Previous childcare / primary school experience is essential.
• Candidates must hold either a Teaching Assistant qualification or Full and Relevant level 2 / 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent if gained outside of the UK.) This role is also open to candidates with a Teaching qualification who are happy to work as a Teaching Assistant.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
• Candidates must hold a valid 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate. (Tinies can assist with this.)
• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, overseas check (if applicable) and a prohibition check will be required. (Tinies can assist with this.)
• A driver with their own transport is desirable for this role, due to the location of some settings not being accessible via public transport.
Flexible hours and days are available.
Rates of pay are dependent on qualifications and experience.
Opportunities are available for long term, short term and permanent placements.
