A relaxed, welcoming family in TW1, Richmond is looking for an active, creative and organised nanny to care for their three children, aged 8, 7 and 4.
Both parents work long hours and travel for work, so this is a sole-charge role requiring someone confident, reliable and proactive. Having employed nannies previously, the parents value the support a nanny brings and would welcome someone who enjoys becoming part of the family.
The family has lived overseas, and the children are resilient, accustomed to different schools and enjoy sports. They have no known allergies or medical needs.
Days and hours
Monday to Friday, with flexibility to agree additional hours:
– Term-time core hours: 7.30–9.30am and 3–7pm, totalling 30 hours per week (Core weekly hours of 32 hours per week).
– The family can extend mornings until 10.30–11am through additional family PA and light housekeeping duties.
– School holidays: approximately up to 48 hours per week, but family happy if the nanny wanted to stay at 32 hours per week with longer days and shorter working week.
A parent would usually collect the older children from school.
Responsibilities
– Provide attentive, engaging care and manage the children’s daily routines.
– Plan creative activities, outdoor play and sporting outings.
– Prepare fresh, nutritious meals; a confident cook is essential.
– Undertake all usual nursery duties, including children’s laundry, wardrobes and keeping their spaces organised.
– Coordinate activities, school requirements and the children’s schedules.
– Assist with agreed family PA tasks and light housekeeping during additional hours.
Ideal candidate
Someone warm, energetic and organised who can work independently, use their initiative and build a lasting relationship with the family.
A driver is preferred, and the nanny can be added to the family car insurance. Driving would mainly be helpful when one parent is away; cycling and travelling by bus are also suitable options.
There may be an opportunity to accompany the family on a skiing holiday, although this is optional.
