What Does an Emergency Nanny Do?
As an Emergency Nanny, you’ll step in when families need childcare support due to:
School and nursery closures
Child illness or recovery periods
Changes in family circumstances
Last-minute childcare emergencies
Holiday cover and temporary assignments
Every day is different, making this the perfect role for adaptable childcare professionals who enjoy variety.
We’re Looking For Candidates Who:
Have professional sole charge childcare experience
Hold a relevant childcare qualification (preferred but not essential)
Are confident caring for children of different ages
Can quickly build positive relationships with children and parents
Are reliable, organised and flexible
Have excellent communication skills
Hold a current DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing high-quality childcare in the family home
Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
Following established routines and parental guidance
Preparing simple meals and snacks
Supporting children’s learning and development
Ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing at all times
