Job Description

  • Baby Room Leader. nr Northallerton

    We are looking for an experienced leader to come and join the fun at a nursery in a beautiful village situated between Northallerton and Stokesley, within easy reach of the A19.

    Based in the Baby Room as Room Lead, the ideal candidate will have an outstanding knowledge of the EYFS and be able to provide exemplary care and education to babies and children in the nursery, whilst working as part of an outstanding team

    As a room leader, you will be required to have proven experience of leading a team and working as a role model in your practice for other team members to follow, setting an outstanding example of exemplary practice. You should be at least level 3 early years qualified or training towards this, with at least 2 years experience of working in a nursery environment or primary school with children. You may be an existing Room Leader looking for a new post, or an experienced Early Years Educator seeking the next step in your career. You should have demonstrable experience of caring for children 3 months to 18 months, with the knowledge of early brain development and care needs of these very young children. More importantly, you must be ready to become part of our friendly team and share the same vision to be the best that we can be in caring for and educating our next generation of excited and enthusiastic learners.

    Room Leader Early Years Specification
    • Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification Essential (or working towards this)
    • 2 Years+ Professional Early Years Experience
    • 1 years in a senior role Highly Desirable
    • Committed to Continuous Professional Development
    • The ability to be part of a happy and enthusiastic team
    • Approachable with good communication skills
    • Organised & Adaptable
    • Paed. First Aid desirable (can be provided)


    Days: Monday to Friday
    Hours: Full Time (shift or set hours available)
    Salary: A competitive rate of pay is offered, negotiable based on your experience and qualifications.
    Start:  May or June 2025
