We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner (Level 2/3) to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a stimulating environment where you will be able to inspire and nurture children, fostering their development through play and learning. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare and Education, along with experience in early years education.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Assist with daily routines, including meal times, rest periods, and outdoor activities.
Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to their individual learning journeys.
Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene protocols.
Support children with additional needs, adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, tidy, and safe, ensuring all resources are well-maintained.
Essential Criteria:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (such as CACHE, NVQ, or Diploma).
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
A genuine passion for working with children and promoting their development.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.
Desirable:
First aid qualification.
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
Additional early years qualifications or training.
