Job Description

  • A preschool in Maidenhead are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their team.

    Term time role

    42.5hrs per week 
    7:30am to 4:30pm 
    (possibility of 9 to 3pm role instead, provided there is flexibility to do the longer hours in emergencies)


    Main Duties:

    To effectively deliver the EYFS curriculum ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met.

    To be responsible for organising the learning environment both indoors and outdoors to ensure resources and equipment are available and appropriate to meet the needs of the children.

    To participate in planning activities as part of a team which ensure each child is working towards their next steps.

    To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs.

    To ensure records are properly maintained, eg. daily register, daily diaries, accident and incident records, daily open and closing risk assessment, daily fridge temperature recording, etc.

    To be involved in working activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents meetings, etc.

    To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role and the safe running of the setting.

    To develop your role within the team, especially with regard to being a key person.

    To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

    To undertake and lead on additional responsibilities as requested by the Manager.
