Job Description

  • A nursery in Ascot are looking for a Room Leader to join their team!

    Salary range £27,000 to £28,000 depending on experience

    Full time - 40 hours across the week but can be flexible for the right candidate for 4 days a week

    This role is to work with the Nursery Manager to ensure that the nursery school is fully compliant with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and to deputise for the nursery manager as required;

    The Assistant Age Group Leader’s focus will be to address and develop the following:

    Compliance
    Safeguarding
    Human Resources
    Management
    Health and Safety
    Commercial responsibilities
    Personal Training & Development

    Job Role:

    · Ensure that children’s observations and Long, Medium and Short Term planning within the age group are completed, kept up to date and carried out through My Montessori Child.

    · Support the requirements of children in the age group with special needs, with reference to the SEN Code of Practice, so that the company’s admission policy may be as inclusive as possible.

    · Develop and maintain the environment and equipment of the relevant rooms to ensure that a high quality learning space which offers children a wide range of experiences and supports their independence and decision making skills is provided.

    · Support the Age Group Leader to operate a programme of suitable learning and play activities in line with the EYFS, and Montessori principles and practice, to foster the growth, happiness and development of every individual child.

    · Support the Age Group Leader with the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation and assessment procedures to ensure a consistent service and implement a recording system for individual children, which can be shared with parents and other professionals and agencies enabling improvements to working methods and service.

    · Assist the Age Group Leader to ensure that submission of Two Year Progress Checks and Foundation Stage Profile data is completed.

    · Support the Age Group Leader to ensure that supplies and stock, such as nappies and gloves, are ordered in sufficient time.
