    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Baby Room Senior to join our Nursery client’s dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-2 years. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent childcare knowledge, and the ability to support and develop a team of early years practitioners.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the baby room team, ensuring high standards of care and education.
    • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
    • Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times.
    • Maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
    • Conduct regular observations and assessments.
    • Support, mentor, and train staff members to maintain best practices in childcare.
    • Oversee the daily routine, including feeding, sleep schedules, and hygiene practices.
    • Monitor and maintain records, including accident reports and developmental progress notes.
    • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
    • Work closely with management to meet the nursery’s objectives and standards.

    Requirements:
    • Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education or Childcare.
    • Previous experience working with babies (0-2 years) in a nursery setting.
    • Strong knowledge of the relevant framework and guidelines.
    • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within childcare.
    • A passion for providing high-quality childcare and education.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations.
    • First Aid, Food Hygiene, and Safeguarding qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
    • A warm, caring, and patient personality with a child-centered approach.
