A family based in the Morpeth area are looking for a Part Time Nanny to care for their two children.
The ideal Nanny will be an experienced childcarer, who has a passion for providing an excellent level of care and attention, tailored to the needs and interests of their charges.
They will have an excellent understanding of the needs of primary aged children, and be confident in providing educational input to help with homework and school projects as well as opportunities for learning through play, creativity and having lots of fun. Someone who is confident in sole charge, but equally, happy with shared care if parents are at home, and who can work harmoniously with parents to plan fun and stimulating days for the children as well as care for their emotional and physical needs.
The family are looking for someone to work 5 days a week from September, when the youngest starts school alongside their sibling. The family have previously had a wonderful nanny for several years, and they are keen to find another suitable match for the children ahead of the summer.
The family are seeking a nanny who is confident and organised, with lots energy and ideas to share. Someone with a warm and lovely personality who is well versed in professional child care. You must be passionate about child care and be looking for a long-term role.
The Nanny must be a driver with a clean licence, preferably with their own car although a car may be provided for duty use. The Nanny should be willing to register with Ofsted if required (parents pay for this). The family are happy to meet applicants who are career nannies or other experienced child carers from a range of backgrounds, and may be open to a discussion with a Nanny who has their own child.
The Nanny's duties will include:
- After School Care in Term Time and full days in the Holidays
- Walking children home from the local school
- Organisation and planning to support homework for KS1 and KS2 effectively
- Work in close partnership with parents to support the holistic development and wellbeing of the children
- Organise a creative and stimulating programme of fun, activities and days out for holidays
- Incorporate lots of outdoor play opportunities and sports
- Plan and attend local classes, groups and play dates
- Balance the day for the children, finding time for education, learning through play, outdoor activity, and time to relax, unwind and be creative
- Cooking meals and preparing snacks, involving the children to safely assist and learn life skills in the kitchen
- Keep the children's play areas and activities tidy, normal nursery duties to include keeping the bedrooms clean and tidy, keeping the car tidy, taking care of children's laundry, organising school bags and involving the children in care and organisation of their belongings.
- Sole charge plus care alongside parents who are working from home
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: Term Times: 2pm to 5pm ideally (possibility for extra hours), Holidays 9am to 4:30pm ideally
Salary: In the region of £15 per hour, negotiable depending on experience
Start: September 2025
