Job Description

  • Supply Teaching Assistant SUNDERLAND AREAS 

    We are looking for qualified teaching and childcare professionals to join our supply services, supporting across weekdays in primary school in the SR2 area

    As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and positive learning experience for students. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will provide valuable support to students who may require additional assistance. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of our students and contribute to the overall success of the school

    Responsibilities:

    • As a Teaching Assistant you will assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.

    • Provide support to individual students or small groups based on their learning needs.

    • As a Teaching Assistant you will foster positive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and engagement.

    • Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies.

    • As a Teaching Assistant you will collaborate with teachers and other school staff to enhance the overall learning environment.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of early and primary education curriculum  
    • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student success.
    • Initiative and a willingness to collaborate with the teaching team.
    • Ideally you will hold a formal qualification done with placements, for teaching and learning in school or similar, for example: Level 2/3 Award in Support Work in Schools,  Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma, Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 4 HLTA award, or other Qualifications and experience in related areas such as childcare, nursery, play or youth work
