Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover)

Job Description

  • Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and leading a dedicated team? This nursery in CM13 is looking for a Maternity Cover Nursery Manager to join their setting, providing day-to-day support and leadership. This roles is Full-time, Monday – Friday (40 hours per week) with a salary up to £40,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

    What we need from you-
    • A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent
    • Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar
    • A strong knowledge and understanding EYFS framework
    • Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together and experienced in providing staff training and support
    • Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years)
    • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults


    Your duties will include-
    • Support the nursery management team to ensure the setting has the right staff, culture, policies, and resources for high-quality childcare and early years education.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance learning, teaching techniques, and stimulating environments for children and educators.
    • Promote inclusivity, ensuring the individual needs of every child are met and a supportive atmosphere is maintained.
    • Lead, motivate, and inspire the team to deliver high-quality teaching under the EYFS framework.
    • Ensure all children are safe, engaged, and experiencing rich, stimulating learning opportunities.
    • Manage staffing ratios through effective rota planning and workforce management.
    • Support recruitment efforts by attracting and onboarding new team members.
    • Provide ongoing professional development and training opportunities for educators.
    • Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
