Job Title: Lead Early Years Educator Location: Basildon, Essex Salary: £25,168 - £25,376 per annum Hours per week: 40 Weeks per year: 52
Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Lead Early Years Educator to join our team. As a Lead Educator, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive early years education and care. You will be responsible for leading a team of educators, providing guidance and support while creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire the team to deliver creative, engaging, and high-quality learning opportunities for children. Be a role model for the staff team, demonstrating responsive and sensitive interactions that promote children's learning and development. Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where all children can thrive. Take responsibility for curriculum planning within the setting, ensuring activities are aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage. Oversee the setting in the absence of senior management, maintaining high standards of care and education. Support the development of staff by providing guidance and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (or equivalent). Post-qualification experience working in early education and childcare. Strong understanding of child development and the ability to plan and implement a curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, equality and diversity, and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and demonstrate leadership skills.
Additional Requirements: You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check (if your current certificate is not subscribed to the update service).
